This issue of the Natter is full of good news! As you turn the pages you will vicariously experience all of the very different adventures our and beloved Norfolk have enjoyed this Fall – everything from Pawsway, to dog shows, to earthdog success, to acting on stage, to performance events, to being enhanced in photographs, to just having Fall fun!
I am pleased to report that we had a very successful 2011 Norfolk National Specialty! There were 13 entries in all, including 6 puppies for Bob Wilson to enjoy in Sweepstakes. Congratulations to Sarah and Patti Paquette on their great wins and to Beth Kravetz and Betty Bossio, who travelled all the way from Texas, to successfully strut Poppy‘s stuff! It was a pleasure to see some new Norfolk enthusiasts experiencing success in the ring.
Junior Handler Kennedy Daniels ?KJ‘ won Best of Opposite in Sweeps with his Dralion‘s Legend of the Dance, Kim Hurd got Reserve Winners bitch at the Specialty with her Dralion‘s Sweet Pursuit and Eryn Hallows won Best of Breed at the Sunday Booster with Souyen‘s I Love Lucy.
Congratulations to all of the winners and participants!
We were all thrilled to see so many Norfolk fans turn out to cheer us on. Many thanks to all those who helped make our Specialty such a success. Thank you to Stefan Sinko from Slovenia for judging our Specialty and to Robert Wilson for judging Sweeps. The generosity of our sponsor, Royal Canin, and the hospitality of the Caledon Dog Club were greatly appreciated. Special thanks goes out to Sarah Paquette who did a wonderful, first time, job of organizing the event. She also acquired the commemorative mugs and bling trophies which were greatly appreciated. Well done Sarah! We are grateful to Lee Goodfellow and Sally Harrington who donated to the Specialty despite their inability to attend. Thanks also to Barb Palmer who generously donated the many toys and bags for Booster prizes on Friday and Sunday and Mark Paquette who provided the junior handler gifts. Susan Chronowic, Chris Borowka and Barb Palmer set an impressive table of scrumptious treats that helped sustain us all through the day! We all made new friends, renewed acquaintances and enjoyed a weekend of camaraderie and friendly competition!
Kudos to all!
The Norfolk terrier Club also had their AGM on Sat. Many members participated in productive discussions. Sarah will be sending out the minutes in the next Natter. Thank you to Jeff Nesbitt who announced he is covering the cost of the domain renewal for the nntc.ca website for the next 2 yrs.!
