Hello Everyone As you know this has been an election year for the Club.

Here are the names of those acclaimed to their positions. I wish the best of luck to our new Board of Directors for 2011-2012:

  • President - Clive Davies
  • Vice President - Lee Goodfellow
  • Treasurer - Susan Chronowic
  • Past President - Linda Dowdle

The Directors are:

  • British Columbia - Nilda Dorini
  • Alberta - Terry Carter
  • Ontario - Mark Paquette and Judy White
  • Quebec - Rhoda Holder and Sally Harrington-Phillipo

There was an election for the position of Secretary as two nominations were received, Mary Davies and Sarah Paquette. Congratulations to Sarah Paquette, who has joined our Executive as Secretary! I am sure her youthful enthusiasm will add new energy to help our Club move forward.

I would like to thank all members of the Club for the effort and support that they have provided during my tenure. It has been a pleasure to work with you and share a passionate dedication to doing the best for our wonderful little dogs. Our Board has worked together to accomplish many significant and exciting goals:

  • We now have an updated Constitution, originally initiated by former President Mark Paquette.
  • Our Club has established a website www.ntcc.ca thanks to the collaborative efforts of Jeff Nesbitt, our new webmaster.
  • The groundwork for drafting a Code of Ethics and a new Canadian Breed Standard has been established.

Special thanks goes out to my Secretary and friend Judy White. Our successful Fun Days and Pawsway Meet-Ups provided many opportunities for educational Norfolk experiences and shared comraderie. Everyone was afforded the opportunity to learn what our terriers were originally bred to do through earthdog and lure coursing involvement.

Demonstrations in agility, obedience and flyball have shown us first hand what our capable little Norfolk are able to accomplish with dedication and persistence. Conformation enthusiasts have had the opportunity to participate in Club supported National and Regional Specialties and Boosters. Many have gained recognition in the Natter for a variety of performance titles. Norfolk and their friends and families came out to participate and enjoy the fun.

Thank you all for helping us celebrate our very special breed. This is the final edition of the Natter for 2010 and we wish everyone and their dogs all the best for 2011!

Linda Dowdle, President - NTCC
